Essential Business Skills

The Business Executive Academy (BEA) is a professional development programme that gives Personal Assistants, Executive Assistants and support professionals access to a rolling schedule of world-class training.  It is designed to maximise the professional work and personal development of those in pivotal roles supporting key business functions and leaders.


The BEA is presented as sixteen individual half-day sessions delivered over eight days, spread conveniently over the course of a the year. Delegates can sign up for any number of masterclasses to achieve any of the six business awards, and further benefit from building a quality network of professionals throughout their course.

Meet The Trainers

Emma Rose

Emma has extensive training experience, is a lecturer at the University of Northampton and an Ambassador for the Open University.  Prior to this she was Head of Academies at Winmark and taught at Fontys Hogescholen (The Netherlands), Digital Marketing Institute and The College of Estate Management.  Her business career has included management roles in the media, music, stationery and government sectors.

John Jeffcock

As CEO of Europe’s leading C-Suite network business, John is intimately involved in the leadership of Winmark and the management of its C-Suite networks.
He has a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), founded the Institute of e-Business and chairs the Membership Organisations Data Group (MODG). He currently sits on boards and committees for Imperial College Business School, University of East London (Business School), West London College, School Home Support (SHS), Chartered Management Institute (CMI) and the Worshipful Company of Marketers.

Dr. Jummy Okoya

Jummy is the MBA Director at the University of East London (UEL) and a visiting lecturer at Imperial College Business School. She is an experienced lecturer and trainer with more than 10 years’ experience of teaching both at undergraduate and post-graduate level. Prior to joining UEL she taught at Birkbeck, University of London, and at the Open University Business School (OUBS). She has extensive capability in providing teaching and training services in Human Resources Management, Learning and Development, Business Information systems, Personal Development planning, Continuous Professional Development and E-Learning. She is also an experienced distance-learning writer, blended-learning practitioner and a work-based learning supervisor.
