The Business Executive Academy (BEA) is a professional development programme that gives Personal Assistants, Executive Assistants and support professionals access to a rolling schedule of world-class training. It is designed to maximise the professional work and personal development of those in pivotal roles supporting key business functions and leaders.
The BEA is presented as sixteen individual half-day sessions delivered over eight days, spread conveniently over the course of a the year. Delegates can sign up for any number of masterclasses to achieve any of the six business awards, and further benefit from building a quality network of professionals throughout their course.
The provision of training is a major factor in job satisfaction, and employee attraction and retention amongst quality office executives and support staff. We encourage all of our clients to invest in training so they provide an attractive and tangible benefit to employees and potential employees, placing them ahead of their competitors. All BEA courses offer a CPD Award for all who attend.
Organisations can either sponsor their staff to attend individual courses, or they can take a corporate subscription of masterclass allocations to be attended by a multiple of staff.
As described by John Jeffcock (CEO of Winmark Global, and BEA Trainer), “The Academy takes you through a sort of ‘mini MBA’, providing the management lingo you need to hold your ground and the technical knowledge to operate at senior level”.
The BEA pricing has been underwritten by Angela Mortimer at significantly-reduced costs, allowing self-funding individuals the financial opportunity to benefit from Business School-quality training.
Winmark has been delivering masterclasses and bespoke learning and development programmes to FTSE250 and Fortune clients for over a decade.
Businesses throughout the UK and increasingly the EMEA regularly attend or commission masterclasses as part of formal Learning and Development programmes.
Winmark has a considerable portfolio of experts and leaders in diverse fields, brought together to deliver the best and most up-to-date development environments for business people.
Angela Mortimer was established in London 1976 and quickly earned its place as the UK’s leading consultancy for recruiting office executive and support staff.
Forty years on, the Angela Mortimer Group consists of over 175 consultants, placing thousands of candidates and working with thousands of companies from our UK, European and Global offices.
We never forget that our success as leaders in the office executive recruitment market is based on our commitment to our clients and candidates’ distinctive needs. As a result, we are continually extending our high standards of service, anticipating and creating the best options for our clients and candidates.
Research into Personal Assistant, Executive Assistant and Business Executive roles shows that the range of business skills required is wider and deeper than ever before. By enabling Assistants to make full advantage of their capability in a role, their increased level of expertise, efficiency and confidence from the BEA is added value to the business.
Administrative and executive support staff who have a deeper understanding of business acumen add direct value to business. Generally there is an under-investment in these roles, relative to the value they bring to their organisation.
Not only does the BEA benefit the individual and the organisation they work for, but it also raises the profile of Learning and Development.
As recruiters with 40 years’ experience, Angela Mortimer recognises that executive support roles are often replacing middle management. Through partnership with Winmark, they are able to provide Business School management training, development and support through the BEA.
The BEA is the only training available for office executive and support staff that focuses exclusively on ‘management’ as opposed to ‘administration’. It supports and develops the key skills required for those who thrive in a commercial environment and want to make progress in their careers.
The half-day masterclasses are run throughout the year and are held in Angela Mortimer’s Central London offices. Delegates can start their course in any month of the year when there is a masterclass that they wish to attend.
